Areas of Practice

Estate Planning

We strive to promote and preserve the personal and financial well being of our clients. Key to this is a comprehensive team approach, where we help assist clients with probate avoidance while still planning for the here and now.

Elder Law

As our clients age, we assist them in maintaining their financial freedom and autonomy. We work with the client's financial and social support team to develop a plan to address long term care or aging in place costs. Plans can range from putting long term care insurance in place to asset protection trusts to shield assets from Medicaid.

Estate and Trust Administration

With the death of a loved one comes the uncertainty of what to do next. We help ease the uncertainty by carefully reviewing the documents and papers your loved one left behind to determine if an estate is needed. If not, we will advise what else, if anything, needs to be done. If an estate is needed, we help guide you through the court-supervised process in the most time and cost-efficient manner.

If a trust is involved, unlike administering an estate, administration typically does not involve a court. We help the trustee administer the trust while fulfilling the obligations to the trust and beneficiaries in a time and cost-efficient manner.

Business Succession Planning

Our business clients have worked hard to grow their business. We help make sure they can enjoy the fruits of all their labor by taking a team approach to succession planning. This starts by working with the client and their business team to develop a strategy to allow for the client’s retirement and the continuation of the business.
